The MDAX® (Net Return) is an equity index which takes the dividends of the index constituents after taxes into account (net performance index). It generally comprises 60 German companies ranking below the DAX® shares in terms of order book volume and market capitalisation. The weighting of an index constituents may not exceed 10%. The index is calculated by Deutsche Börse AG (Index Sponsor), which is responsible for the design, calculation and composition of the index as well as weighting its constituents.
